I love the way how the animation and characters look closer to Blood: The Last Vampire.

It seems I was one of the few people who dug Blood-C so I'm pretty jazzed for this. Gotta love how the production values skyrocket when you've got a movie budget.

I'm very excited for this. I really enjoyed Blood-C and it's cool to see what some extra funding has done for the visual quality. Not only that, but I've been anticipating getting to see Saya take her revenge on Fumito. Unfortunately, I suppose we won't be seeing this around these parts for quite a while :/

I'm actually looking forward to this one. Nice to see I'm not alone in that sentiment.

So I'm not the only one who liked Blood-C? Good to know.
Seriously psyched for this.

Just like every year there's at least one show I can't seem to get while pretty much everyone else finds it brilliant, Blood-C is an example of a show I found perfectly entertaining while most people hated it with a passion.
I'm looking forward to this movie, but I wish Tsutomu Mizushima could have directed it. I loved the unsettling tone he set for the TV series, with that odd mix of cutesy slice-of-life and over-the-top violence.

Wait a minute, are you telling me there have been 7 positive reactions so far and 0 negative? Wow, I think we must have slipped into some Bizarro ANN where Blood-C was actually universally loved by all posters. Cool.
(And yes, I realized I just jinxed the thread.)

I've noticed something like this previously. While a series is broadcasting, there are a lot of people in the discussion threads who voice their dissatisfaction with it. Afterwards, all of us who enjoyed the series but were afraid to get into an argument about it come out of the wood work.

Hey, I actually liked the show too! I was inclined to think it was still April Fool's Day when I saw this thread though, since I know practically nobody who doesn't seem to think that Blood-C is a steaming pile of horse manure.
Can we get a group hug then, to commerate finding other closeted fans of this much maligned series?

I'm a fan of the franchise, and haven't seen the -C series yet, but would like to. I'm hoping someone picks it up for a N.A. release (BD format with English dub, please). Maybe they're waiting until after the movie? In any case, I like what I've seen of The Last Dark promos.

I don't love or hate Blood-C the TV series.
Besides, this film is being done by almost a completely different creative staff from the TV series anyway, so it's a fresh start for even people who hated the TV series. The only thing similar of course are the storyline threads and the Clampish designs (which still look drastically different in these early trailers). But the treatment and sensibility will obviously reflect those of this different animation staff.
Quite frankly, this is my most anticipated anime film this year. It has a big budget behind it, has Naoyoshi Shintani, a director who seems to have prior experience with the Blood franchise and dark action-oriented anime in general (unlike Tsutomu Mizushima, the director of the Blood-C TV series, who's mainly a comedy anime director)
