So, the other two threads are updated, might as well do this one too.
Yes, there is already a chart-- although, with the way announcements are coming out every day right now- it was definitely released early.

This thread is an attempt at a “master thread” for the season. One thread to talk about the season as a whole from preview to postmortem and only the subtitle will change. I’ll index the different sections as I change the title, as well as link to threads for the shows that members create dedicated threads for. I have mainly abandoned this project, I'll finish up indexing this thread but discussion of the season in progress and even the postmortem is currently much better served by participating in the talkbacks for Bamboo Dong's The Stream, and though I will make a season index here that is also mostly made unnecessary as long as we all help Tony K help keep the master ANN Series Discussion Index updated by submitting new series threads there as they are created.

Sections (hot-linked as they happen):
Preview and Anticipation (Starts with the second post)
In Progress
Postmortem

Natsuyuki Rendezvous looks interesting and will hopefully be well done. It looks a bit too Josei for my tastes mind you.

Kingdom is an odd looking project. Very non-anime-ish. We'll see how that goes.

Arcana Famiglia and Aruvu Renzuru I will not immediately write off although I don't have high hopes for either.

That's about it which is rather disappointing.

Only titles of possible interest I see interesting me are Natsuyuki Rendezvous and Aruvu Renzuru. Otherwise, I'm not too excited over what I see on this guide thus far.

Any happy-go-lucky generic ecchi anime this season? I need atleast one series to get my fix.

Asides from that, Fate/Zero, QB, Horizon, and I think there's an S-Cry-Ed movie?

I will most probably watch the first episode of Sword Art Online, Oda Nobuna no Yabou, Arcana Famiglia, and Hagure Yuusha no Estetica. Wow, that's few. This season ain't very promising for me. Sad

The only two shows currently I'm looking forward to is Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate and Sword Art Online.

Tari Tari looks cute and it's done by PA Works, but don't know anything about it.

I'll be watching Horizon, Kimi no Iru Machi and perhaps the Geass OVAs. I haven't really looked into the rest of those, though.

nice, i didn't realise the new chart was up, although i'd already done alot of looking into what was coming up so already had a fairly large list based on what i found out

Priorities:

Sword Art Online - been reading it and can't get enough
Blood Lad - again, i've been reading it and love it

Will Watch:

Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru! - i heard the LN of this was actually really really good so i've got to at least give it a go
Natsuyuki Rendezvous - josei series tend to be pretty strong series on the whole, despite the severe lack of them and from looking this up i see no reason why this won't be too
Rinne no Lagange S2 - watched the first, watch the second
Aruvu Rezuru - cyber sci-fi addict, have to watch anything like that
Obe Nobuna no Yabou - somewhat cliched idea, but looks like a better version of all previous attempts at it
La Storia Della Arcana Famiglia - this just looks good, kinda dark
Chouyaku Hyakunin Isshu: Uta Koi. - having enjoyed Chihayafuru so much i have to try this out

Will Try:

Hagure Yuusha no Estetica - reading up on it it sounds like something good, but sadly all images about it just make it look like an ecchi high school comedy so i'm not properly psyched about it
Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita - looks ok, although i'm not entirely sure what it'll actually be about currently
Love, Election and Chocolate - probably be my guilty pleasure for the summer
Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse - not entirely sure if i will keep with this, but i'll try it out
Tari Tari - liked the last 2 P.A. Works series so i'll try another one, although there still isn't any details about it yet

this is the first time since i started watching anime a couple of years ago that i've been excited about 2 seasons in a row, so can't wait to find out what else is scheduled

related point, does anyone know anything new about the new Code Geass series yet? they're announcing most of the Summer Season series and i still haven't heard anything new about it yet despite Sunrise saying 2012 was the target. or did someone screw up a translation and it wasn't actually a series they were making, just another OVA or something

Well it's more of high school battle fantasy with occasional comedy and ecchi, at least based on the first two volumes.

The really exceptional part is the absolutely amazing male lead (if you can look past his habit of sexually harassing females) who starts from where most light novel series end. Mentor character has died, training arc has been completed, demon king has been defeated, tsundere princess charmed and hero has returned back to his own world. The fact that he has already done one light novel series worth of growing up really shows.

It's all too rare to see a school battle series with a protagonist who:
- is confident in his own strength
- became strong with hard work and guts, and not by receiving some kind of legendary weapon
- doesn't chase after girls
- isn't fazed by seeing naked girls
- has his own goals

Ok, you can kind of blame him for being kind of Gary Stu'ish. But he is no over powered reader self-insert. He has his agenda, his own set of rules and his own past. He is very much a real character. Actually large parts of the books are told from Miu's (demon king's daughter) perspective to hide from the reader what is going trough Akatsuki's (hero) head. Same approach is also often used with other characters when Miu is not around.

Of course anime could go in totally different direction with his character (I seem to have a very bad luck with anime adaptions I'm really looking forward).

now that does sound alot better than it looks, definitely a good sounding male lead, most male leads are so boring/lame/pathetic/cliche, and the place it starts certainly is different in a good way, definitely sounds like a series to watch when it starts

agree that it shouldn't change the lead, based on your description of him, that sounds like it would be a really tragic thing to do

I am most excited to see KONO NAKA NI HITORI, IMOUTO GA IRU!. I read the manga, which only has 3 chapters out so far but I still liked it. As Volibear said I also read somewhere the VN were pretty good.

Also I want to see Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere, season 2

Intrigued by Hagure Yusha and Sword Art Online

I also will be watching the 2nd Ova of Kimi No Iru Machi. I love the manga and I hope these Ovas are just a preview of an anime series in the distant future. Hopefully its at least 24 episodes long, as 12 episodes won't be enough to cover everything.

Other Ovas I will watch is Seitokai Yakuinado, code geass, and Sankarea.

Kingdom sounds quite interesting, I'd definitely put that on a to-watch list.

I'm also a bit curious about Aruvu Rezuru though I can that one going either way. Same thing with La Storia Della Arcana Famiglia

Chouyaku Hyakunin Isshu: Uta Koi sounds unusual but intriguing so I'll probably keep an eye out for reviews of it when the season finally comes.

Four shows on my radar already, that's not too bad!

First off, is it just me or does this season contain a horde of anime with extremely long titles? lol
It's a little hard to say based on the limited information released. Though as a general impression, I'm kind of interested in the following titles:

Aruvu Rezuru - The story sounds interesting. This one probably has more potential to stay on my watch list than any other series offered this seasin.

Sword of Art - cliched? Yes, the idea of being trapped in cyber space has existed ever since anime came into being. That being said, there aren't that many action based series this season, so I'll have to check this one out.

La Storia....- This one seems a little psychotic judging from the promo poster, but hey, at least it stands out from the rest of the season in the looks department.

Chouyaku Hyakunin Isshu (see what I mean about long, garbled..titles) - I have no idea what the story is about, but the art style looks kind of interesting.

Oda Nobuna no Yabou - Not sure if this will stay on the list for long, but I'll give it a try just for Madhouse.

I think that's about it, at least, until the final version is released.
