(Here's hoping this topic doesn't get locked down immediately for lack of content...)(Also, spoilers.)
We've all read them - long, epic (or epic-ish) series that are filled with angst, drama, teen angst, tragedy, and more angst. Have you ever hit that point where you scream "Come on! If you just ___________, the problem would be solved!!" ? When you think about it, there really are a large number of series that could have their central problems solved in 5 minutes or less. Now, I know that the major reason they aren't resolved that quickly is because that would make for terrible storytelling, but just for the fun of it, what are some series that could be solved and resolved in record time? That is SO true. Actually, that would solve a lot of series, now that I think of it...and virtually all Takahashi ones...kind of like how most CLAMP series would be much easier if people would finish their damn sentences once in a while. |
