I can't say I'm surprised that Pokemon Black and White (or in this case, Pocket Monsters: Best Wishes) made it in the Top 10. With Nintendo's newest video game title, Pokemon Black and White 2, destined to reach the U.S. somewhere around the year's end (unless there are any unexpected changes), it'll be interesting to see how the TV show will play out as the Saturdays pass by.

These are Japanese TV ratings. Pokemon has held a spot for the last fifteen years or so.
The game announcements have very, very little to do with that.

Yeah, this is like being surprised Sazae-san is #1. It always happens.
Still, given Satoshi only has 2 badges left, they'll probably be ready for Black and White 2's storyline around it's June release (the anime always starts a new game storyline the same week, if not the same day when applicable)

Remember people, this is TV viewer ratings, not a poll of what is the best anime.
The top 10 is pretty much always the same faces, while shows that we view as popular, such as Naruto, Bleach and Fairy Tail, have pretty measely figures compared to them.
It doesn't mean much. If you're in the 1-2%, you're generally pretty safe and doing quite well. Any less means you're in the 'doggy poo' while anymore means you're doing very well.
So when something like Naruto or Bleach falls to something like 0.8%, then let's start worrying! lol

Unless you're talking about shows that air after midnight, you couldn't be anymore wrong as far as viewer ratings go. No show that only gets 1-2% in a primetime/weekend-morning timeslot is 'doing quite well'.

They mean the top 1-2% in ratings, I'm pretty sure.

1.3% for Fairy Tail ? That's very low.
And Naruto is only at 3%, that's pretty bad too.

Seeing Danshi Nichijou on the bottom is depressing, then i saw the time slot and now I'm confused on how it got screwed so badly. Think it would have beat that 1% rating if it aired before 1AM.
And how is Kill me Baby getting a 2.1 on a Thu 1.5-2 AM???

That TBS timeslot is the most in demand timeslot for otaku anime. It almost always gets the best of the best (though it kinda slacked this season by getting Kill me Baby... Amagami SS Plus is good though), and its TV ratings always are higher than almost anything else aimed at otaku.

ok that makes more sense. West Coast US tv screws me up because everything here pretty much ends at midnight or 1 AM ESPECIALLY on weekdays.

Metal Fight Beyblade 4D showing some signs of life, and Cross Fight B-Daman drops half of its lead-in? Jeeze. Takara Tomy should just give Beyblade it's full timeslot again.

I love digimon xros wars, and this episode was incredible, the appearances of taichi and Masaru was too much, and came close to mimi and ruki, and still had the great digievolution arresterdramon superior mode, I thought it would be in the top 10 this incredible episode
