I was basically just wondering if anyone else is a fan of Platinum Garden?
Tokyopop released 7 of its, I believe 14, volumes, and finally had a release date for volume 8 right before they shut down, unfortunately. It didn't seem like it ever sold well though, and I've never really heard anyone talk about liking it. I really find it to be entertaining. I've actually only ever read the first 2 volumes, but multiple times, because I keep trying to convince myself that I don't like it so I can sell it, but then I realize I love it all over again and don't want to get left hanging at volume 7. When it first came out, I thought it was vaguely reminiscent of Fruits Basket and that it would sell well, but that does not appear to be the case.
So if anyone else would like to share their feeling on this series, I'd love to hear them. Thanks!

I wanted to get this series but I realized that Tokyopop hadn't finished it so I said never mind.
I'm mad about them not finishing Meteor Methuselah/Immortal Rain, too.

I like this series. I've got all 7 volumes that they released, and remember being pissed when it was first put on hiatus. I haven't read it in a while, though, because I know I like it and I don't want to get annoyed with the cliffhanger all over again. From what I remember, it was finally getting really good when they stopped publishing. We were learning more about the mysteries surrounding Mizuki and his family. =_=

I love this series, and I am so sad it now seems like will never finish being released here. I also thought it was initially going to do very well due to seeming similiar to Fruits Basket... at least as far the covers go. I don't know... maybe people didn't buy it because they thought it was a rip off or Fruits Basket? It definitely isn't that once you start reading it.
It seems like I read maybe the first four volumes and own six or seven. I can't remember, and I am not nearr my sheves. I quit reading it once I found out it was cancelled, and I can't get rid of it, just like the first lovely poster in this thread, because it is just too darn good! It was the worst getting the false hope of FINALLY seeing it released again before Tokyopop went bye bye. Maybe one day, I will get to know what happened, but I am not holding my breath on this one!
