Dont Forgot Fatal Fury, Samurai Showdown, Darkstalkers etc etc.
Fighting games dont make good anime theres not enough of a plot. And a game like king of fighters with its team system compounds it which team are they going to focus on?

I thought the Street Fighter II V series was really good. I thought it had a descent story and good character even though it had the absence of Honda, T Hawk, Dee Jay, and Blanka. I really loved the action.

Fatal Fury I thought was pretty good, though the fights tend to be short. I thought the dub was even better than the Japanese one.

As for King of Fighters, I can't wait for it.

More screens (scroll past the video game stuff). Kula, Ralf, Soiree, and Mai are present too. It's a good sign that it's four episodes, rather than a "movie" where they can't cram in everything, but I guess this also depends on how long they are.

And damn it all, Fatal Fury was great. Especially the part with Krauser.

I loved the Fatal Fury movie. Aside from Masami Obari's somewhat odd character designs, it was a lot of fun and captured the characters well.


But yay for Kula in the anime, and yay for Mai (oh how I hope Akoya Sogi gets to voice her this time~ no problem with Kotono Mitsuishi's performance, but AKOYA~~ *_*). Mai looks absolutely lovely in the screenshot so I'm very happy and looking forward to her.

They're not supposed to be, but at least they're not Obari-stupidhuge for this anime. =/ Falcoon, previously being a fanboy and fanartist, is in charge and therefore is making them be like every other fanboy thinks they are. X_X The old character designer, Shinkirou, always drew her with a normal (though yes, well rounded) bustline. The bouncing is just all fanservice. But no one is going to understand so meh. x_x

But they aren't. Anime dazed; SNK Playmore isn't directly handling the anime themselves. Falcoon is only credited as "original character designs" because it's the guy that did the GitS SAC designs that's really doing them for the anime.

Screw Mai. Kula Diamond is where it's at. =)

Though... I'm brought to think, could something like this be streatched longer than 4 episodes (I'm assuming it's an OVA)? Most certainly. Alas, we'll have to see if it sucks or not.

Now if they could SOMEHOW find some way to insert Hotaru Futaba in, even out of complete fanservice, I'd be quite super happy. =)

Uhm, King of Fighters has a pretty good storyline, I mean, they've had about 10 years to develop the thing, it's better than most fighting game storylines.

I'm pretty sure it's a four episode TV show. I guessed you'd call it a mini-series.
