I suppose he was joking. I don't want to bring conspiracies, but this feels like Capcom trolling MegaMan fans as Universe and Legends 3 were cancelled, MegaMan wasn't added to UMvC3, and now they are adding this version of the blue guy into the game.
Nevertheless, it's freaking funny. He looks like an old guy who found some old Mega Man cosplay and decided to fight everybody he sees.

lol yeah, man seeing that video made laugh a ton. I thought it people overreacting but now I can see why people think capcom likes to troll all the time now.

In a rare case, it is.
Usually it's Rockman, but "Mega Man" fits quite well here since it's based of the American box-art of the first game.
Which seems like a hilarious troll on Capcom's part.

Really, Capcom? It's come to this?
It's a shame too, I'da have a whole bunch of fun yucking it up about Pac-man in the Wood-Robot and the two PSN Cats but instead, here comes Capcom, completely unable (or unwilling) to read the room and shoving the bad art megaman in our faces and then, to top it off, use the Legends back-story in his bio just to ether be more dumb or more malicious.

thing is, Mega Man Universe was a mediocre reception at previews anyway so it probably would have been savaged if it DID make it to market. I blame most of the MM fallout on the hack Inafune.
