This is so gonna get bought. Twice. (Meaning, I'm gonna purchase two copies, at once).
AKFG and Sambomaster are my two favorite Japanese bands. Gotta show support. ::Humming "After Dark" to myself, as I click off the page:: |

Gotta agree with you there. AKFG and FLOW are my top favorite J-Rock bands. I will be picking this up. |

Error in here: This is NOT their first state-side release. "Sol-fa" got a limited release in the states too through the old Tofu Records.

A few links. They're shrewd (and amazing) live performers:

As was stated earlier, this is not their first U.S. release - although I do believe it's their first digital release in North America. Tofu Records release Sol-Fa along with a DVD that featured a few live performances as a bonus.
Please download the album if you can, such a wonderful band. They're the only band I've ever imported albums of - and I imported quite a few over the years. Well worth your time, and they have a very large catalogue! |

Asian Kung-fu Generation is hands down my favorite band, period. English or Japanese. I love all their music, it is just fantastic and inspiring.
They may not have contributed to any anime since "Maigo Inu to Ame no Beat" for The Tatami Galaxy, and an even longer period before that, but they have still been rockin' and remain extremely popular. (You might want to mention in the article that "Solanin" was the theme to the live action movie Solanin) Guess I will also be buying this twice. I already ordered the CD, guess I will support the english release as well, would be nice if more Japanese music would be released here. Although I perfer physical CD's so I can add to my collection. As far as the album itself goes, it has alot of great songs. Aside from the anime themes I love "Fujisawa Loser", and "Blue Train" has the best drums I have ever heard in a song. Personally I think it should have included the songs "Atarashii Sekai" and "Maigo Inu to Ame no Beat" but this is a best album and everyone will have an opinion on what is best. Still love the album! |

"After Dark" and "Far and Beyond (aka Haruka Kanata)" are the best J rock songs I've ever heard, so this is a must buy.

Is it going to get a domestic CD release? I don't own an MP3 player, nor do I ever plan on getting one, and $40+ for the import is too much for one CD.
