Wow, I remember hearing that they licensed this series back in 2010. I was wondering what happened to it. I'm glad it's coming out, I really enjoyed it when it first debut in the summer of 2010 while I was attended AX.

You... kinda forgot to list the male lead character there. Confused

EDIT: Oh, FUNimation didn't list it in the first place. My mistake.

That promo video didn't make me too interested. :\ I wonder when Funimation is going to release Panty and Stocking.

He wasn't listed originally, but they did add Ryoshi (voiced by Joel McDonald) at some point.

this was a really cute and funny series so i'll likely buy it. the dub cast actually looks pretty good and im very glad funi is giving micah some more work after soul eater. im shocked though that funi didn't cast todd haberkorn as ryoshi...but very VERY glad none the less.

And only 1 and a half years after the show finished airing.
Wait... that's a bad thing....

I wonder if FUNi holding back on licenses would be a good idea, so they can catch up with the loads of crap they have picked up. Yeah, I know that licensing is good overall for Japan, but waiting 1-2 years after a show stops airing means that the fanbase starts to dissolve and move away, they can never strike while the iron is hot or even as it's cooling down. By the time they get to it, the iron is cold and starting to rust. Anime really is consumable when a good portion of it consists of 1 or 2 cour shows.

The good about this, is that it's been long enough since I watched it on funi's site, that I want to see it... it's an odd little show but amusing.

mukashi, mukashi

eta: OI! $50 bucks though... guess I musta been getting spoiled or something.

I might buy this one, I liked it when it was airing.

And, I'm so glad that they didn't cast Todd Haberkorn as the male lead, he's in it but not the lead for a change.
I might buy it just because of that. I'm so sick of him as the lead, but I will admit he was the perfect choice for Tsukune on Rosario!

So, does this mean Luci Christian is a sure-in as Kuroko Shirai, and Brina Palencia is the Railgun if/when A Certain Series of Shows get liscnesed? Wink

Honestly though, half the fun of Okami-san was the obvious VA ties to the To Aru series--it was like A Certain Fractured Fairytale in context. In a perfect world there'd be some way to preserve that, since the first series of Index and Railgun would be in NA hands already, rather than have the And-Now-For-Something-Completely-Different show as a stand-alone that hits American shores first...but the world regularly points out that it is not a perfect one.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I am pretty sure the series is only 12 episodes long, not 13.

For what it's worth, Ryouko is voiced by Itou Shizuka in Japanese, while Mikoto is voiced by Satou Rina. They don't have the same VA's. They are kind of similar in other ways, though.
