I actually can't wait to see this! I'm usually not a fan of Japanese live action but this one looks pretty good. I'm also a huge Rurouni Kenshin fan so I have to see it!

I'm very excited to see this. I just wonder how they'll translate the comedic elements of the manga into the film, considering what they've shown us so far have been the serious/action scenes.

A lot of the reports that have been circulating on the net have said that WB is putting a lot of money into this movie to get it done right. I guess they see RK as a huge cash cow for future sequels. I'm definitely with them on this. RK is a franchise, that if done properly can bring in huge revenue in sales. More than likely this'll be released in the West with a limited sub release. I would hope for a wide release, but knowing how bad the public looks at subtitle movies in the West it'll probably end up with dub release.

I absolutely love the humor in the anime and manga, but in order to not make this film cheesy, they need to tone it down in this version. I've seen other live-action adaptations that literally try to bring over the same humor but it usually fails miserably.
