I'd be more impressed to see them replace it with the first half of Gundam SEED, but seeing as how they have just started dubbing it (according to Richard Cox at ACEN, since he has a part in it) it probably won't be ready to air until at least November at the earliest.

I would love to see Gundam Wing come back as long as it is unedited (so during Adult Swim). But I would rather like to see other and Gundam series as well (mainly since I have it in both VHS and DVD).

I'm doubtful we'll ever see Gundam Wing on Cartoon Network any time soon. CN already has Zeta Gundam, Gundam F91, and Superior Defender lined up for this year and next along with the yet-to-be-announced-but-should-be-soon Gundam SEED. Besides G Gundam has already been replaced by Justice League on Toonami.

Gundam Wing was awesome!! I loved that show, but it was better unedited. If they do bring it back, it should be unedited like Pitargo said.
What about 8th MS Team? I think that's what it's called. Anyway, that show was pretty good, however, they didn't show it for too long.

it didn't show for very long because it's only 12 eps long. Short series like that are going to blow by like nothing. Atleast they somewhat offset it with the 6 episodes of 0080.

Do you have a source on this? Considering the show is barely half over in Japan, I'd be very surprised if they were already dubbing it, particularly since Zeta Gundam has already been announced.
As for Gundam Wing, that show sucks. How about a complete run of Mobile Suit Gundam instead?

Yup, straight from Richard Cox's mouth during the Inside the VA Studio panel with Richard Cox and Brett Weaver Saturday May 17, 2003 at ACEN in Rosemont IL. As far as the time frame though, that's purely my own estimate since he had said that they were just starting to dub the first season (i.e. Eps 1-26).

I wouldn't be surprised that they would start the dubbing process so soon. Everyone pretty much agrees that Gundam SEED will be coming to the US(along with Wolf's Rain and GitS:Stand Alone Complex). So if a company was smart they would try to get the shows over here as fast as possible to make their fans happy, and increase their short term profits. At some point I would like to see anime coming out in Japan and the US at the sametime, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

That's a little harsh. Sure, I'll admit it was quirky, but it still was kinda fun.
Anyway, about SEED, I know I earlier did not care for it too much, but after reading the May Newtype, I wouldn't mind checking a few of the episodes if they air them on Toonami.

Does anyone know why Zeta Gundam is taking so long to be shown? Its not exacly new.
Then never finished showing mobile suit gundam. They were close, like 6 ? episodes away from the end.

I think MS Gundam came back to Adult Swim and they showed the rest of the eps.

I mean, do you have any website that says this? Or did you hear it yourself? I'm a bit surprised that there's been zero word about this anywhere.

Well, there's no question that SEED will come to the US at some point. It's doing quite well for itself in Japan right now as the most popular Gundam series in a good while and Gundam is pretty popular over here too. Bandai has already said that they're going to release all Gundam here eventually. The question is whether or not it's the next show that will be coming out. I don't think Tiresias is lying or anything of course, but I'm reluctant to believe something that I've heard from just one person when there hasn't been a word about it on any big sites I've seen, on the Gundam Mailing List, or on the Gundam.com forums, so I'm wondering if this is just some rumor that's being passed along or if Tiresias was actually at the convention and was there when Richard Cox allegedly made this statement.

Wing is wonderful as an introductory Gundam series, but compared to other Gundam shows, in my opinion, it's pretty bad. As for SEED, it starts off badly, but it's been slowly improving for the past four or five episodes (that is, since around episode 28 or 29, since Japan is up to 33 now). With any luck, it might turn out like Gundam ZZ -- that is, crappy first half, good second half.

It was delayed a while back, apparently. There was no official announcement on this, but it was mentioned on the Anime on DVD forums and Jerry Chu (a Bandai rep) said that "the Bald Wizard has struck again," or something to that effect (the Bald Wizard referring to Yoshiyuki Tomino). There's some speculation that it might be pushed back for the rumored Zeta Gundam movies that may or may not be in production in Japan and would reportedly be directed primarily at the US audience. But...who even knows? The point is, it seems that Zeta was probably delayed by Tomino for some reason or another. It wouldn't be out yet anyway, even if it weren't delayed though. Bandai hasn't even finished releasing G Gundam. The shows usually start airing on Cartoon Network in late summer (late July or early August), and the DVDs follow in the fall.

Nope. Mobile Suit Gundam never finished any of its runs on Cartoon Network. The first run was cut short when the show was pulled after Sept. 11. Then it returned on Adult Swim, but stopped halfway through when Adult Swim changed from Saturday nights to weeknights. It was supposed to start a third run on the Saturday night action block that CN is doing now, but at the last minute they changed their minds and they're showing G.I. Joe instead.

Also MS Gundam was something of a bomb for CN. With both kids and adults the ratings just weren't there. The number of people that just don't care far out weighed the number of people that do. Probably be better off just picking up the last DVD to see how it ends.
