You mean in this amount of time, you'll stop being into anime and manga?

Wow! I just finished my grade 12 (ontario) french credit. I took the credit in Nice, France. It was amazing! Their main store FNAC (Best Buy+ Tower Records + W. H. Smith) had 3 large (by large I mean meter wide and 2.5 meters tall) shelves of manga. But wait, it gets better. For our last three days we vacationed in Paris, and the FNAC their had 10 shelves of manga. And an entire two shelves of anime sountracks. Also, the main FNAC and Virgi both had over 6 shelves of anime. Even the Relay in the airport had a shelf of anime. Meanwhile in Toronto, it is almost impossible to find a good selection of anime soundtracks. |
Here in Canada it's hard to find anime, I would checkthe pacific mall or chinatown to find some soundtracks. Whenever I go to the states I always stock up on anime because its hard to find non-popular anime here in Canada. Whenever I'm at the mall they only have ghost in a shell or inuyasha, the local comic book store has some good anime but it isn't as big as 1m x 2.5m, they have lots of manga but not as big as 10 shelves. I hate shopping online but its the only place where it has good anime/manga. I should go to France; I'd really like to hear anime in french. I think cons are the only places I've seen soundtracks, I'm sure Canada will find a way to make anime appear in stores, hopefully soon I am impatient!

I know your pain! I also live in Ontario and I find it extremely difficult to find manga and even more difficult to find quality anime (except on the Anime Network on digital cable which a friend of mine has). I tried the Silver Snail here and they didn't have that much. But when I went to Toronto for Anime North they had a lot of anime and manga. You should check it out if you haven't already. I also find The Comic Book Shoppe really helpful. They don't always have the vol. that you want (it took me forever to find Vol. 6 of Hellsing) but they seem to have a good selection. It is too bad that they are in Toronto... OH YEAH! Try Chapters book stores... Every store hear has a wall load of manga and comics. And the site is pretty helpful because you can check on the availability of certain books at certain stores... Check it out!
