Well as some of you may know, Colorful has been pushed back on G4 do to scheduling conflicts.
I just checked my Tivo, and Last Exile will be airing in Colorful's place. It starts on the 9th of this month.
I really wanted to see Colorful, but I have never seen Last Exile, so this is pretty cool. Plus Colorfull will still air on G4, just later on.
What ya guys think?

Good because I haven't seen the beginning of the show. Bad because it's G4.

Although I've never seen Coloful, and am not sure if I want to, I really love Last Exile. It's my second favorite show. But as mentioned somewhere else in this forum, G4 tends to show basically the same anime over and over (such as Gungrave, R.O.D The TV, and Last Exile). I have to admit that I would rather see something new/different.

Half of it did anyway, then the other half aired after the desecration...I mean "merger."

hahaha ¨desecration¨ is a good way to look at it i miss when it was just tech tv but anyways i think what is meant is that anime unleashed sucks. they have some good shows like gungrave, last exile, ROD, but they have a bad way of showing them. gungrave and soul taker are two shows that i know that are compressed from widescreen to be full screen and it looks a little funny. they also have hella commercials interrupting the show.

Maybe I am wrong, but didn't G4 also once showed Boogiepop Phantom as well?
If so, then I hope that they will re-run that one again since I would really like to see it.
Maybe right after Last Exile, who knows.

Given my undying love for Boogiepop, and my almost similar magnitude of scorn for G4, that would be one show I'd hope G4 never airs or has aired. Just let the license expire so that someone more competent could potentially nab it.

Yes, TechTV did air Boogipop a couple of times as well as SE Lain, Silent Mobius, Betterman, Dual, Crest of the Stars, Banner of the Stars, and Geneshaft. Add to that Gad Guard and Magical Shopping Arcade Abanobashi after it was G4, in addition to those previously mentioned of course, they should still have quite the selection to choose from. Rather than running just a few into the ground they could be rotating them. I can't figure out why they don't unless they lost the rights to the other series somehow after the merger.

No no no, you see, you don't get the distinction here. TechTV and G4 are not the same entity, even though one did take the other's channel and aired a select few of its programs for a short while before giving it the permanent boot in favor of pure crap. TechTV aired Boogiepop, the first two Sekai series, Lain, Betterman, SoulTaker, Gatekeepers 21, Silent Möbius, Geneshaft, Dual!, Last EXILE 1-13, and all that lovely nonsense, while G4 was the one that brought us Gad Guard, ROD: The TV, Last EXILE 14-26, and that ungodly crap that goes by the names of Gungrave and Abenobashi. When TechTV was airing anime, things were good, because despite the commercial breaks, the content was still presented on a regular rotation without any careless screwing with aspect ratio and audio. When TechTV aired Boogiepop, I enjoyed it. But now we have G4, who takes the excess commercial breaks, and adds to that the aforementioned aspect ratio/audio jackassery, as well as a nonexistant "rotation" that consists of Gungrave, Gungrave, frickin' Gungrave with all of five episodes of anything else in between. If G4 ever aired (or plans to air) Boogiepop, I will be livid (well...more livid than usual when it concerns G4), seeing as I don't want their TV extra-retard germs on my all-time favourite show.

I borrowed the first DVD volume of Last Exile from the library but I couldn't really get into it.

Okay...that's what I thought I said more or less, without the hate for Gungrave which I liked (but edit free and with surround sound on DVD with original aspect ratio). I most certainly do get the distinction I've been watching the network from back when it was known as ZDTV. The forcing of new aspect ratios, the poor sound, and over-commercialization are really annoying though, yes and unprofessional for a network that's suposed to be technologically inclined. Of course if you really want to complain about them do it on their forums like I do. Though that's like the pot calling the kettle black isn't it? I'm guilty of a little justified complaining about the general all-around crappiness of the network myself too.

Yes, I believe I did see it once on G4. It never interested me enough to finish the episode. But then again, that was in the middle of the series probably, so I had no clue what was going on. It looks like one of those don't-get-until-you-see-the-whole-thing type of anime.
