I can't imagine an actual bride wearing it though. |
You've obviously never seen a new-age wedding dress expo. TV shows like Say Yes to The Dress and Four Weddings have shown some pretty insane designs, too, so to me this isn't all that surprising.
It's very pretty and yet undeniably girly, a stable for CLAMP work.

Well, I've never even heard of those shows so you're correct. :/
Whenever I think of weddings, except for those 5-minute drive-through Las Vegas types, I always thought of the traditional Western gowns (some Japanese brides where a type of kimono).
But yeah, I would like to cosplay in this but for a marriage ceremony (which I presume is meant to be classy), I'll give it to the flower girl.

I think that the dress looked a lot better in the illustration...
I wish we could get larger images of the concept designs on Sakura and Chi! (Is Chi wearing a totally different dress? The neckline looks different.)
And I also agree that the dress looks really poorly made. I feel that its a cheap cosplay replica... And the real-life design also look a bit different from the illustrated version as well.
Either way... at least the model pulled the dress off better than the dress form.

Doubt a lady would wear that in front of relatives and friends and a priest in a church........... After all, that day only happens once in a girl's life............ Well, hopefully anyways.............. Imagine showing those wedding photos in the future to their children............. (Is that your mom?! -- SLAP!!)

Damn, that model is either bow-legged and/or pigeon-toed. What works in anime doesn't work in real-life.

How dare someone have a different opinion on what makes a good wedding dress as composed to the norm. I mean it's not like there is such a thing as differing tastes right.
Though I will agree the design is one of those that probably looked better on paper then in reality.
