Yet another crappy ADV title has been licensed. Colorful will begin on G4 starting 8/13/05. Just a heads up.

On Cartoon Network and the TechTV of days gone by, yeah. But not G4. You take TechTV's extra commercial breaks, throw in some audio alteration, occasional breaking of aspect ratio, and infrequent scheduling among other things, and you've got problems. |

Is it just be or are they showing Anime Unleashed a lot less, even at late hours?
And why oh why did G$ have to buy out TechTV...I miss seeing Lain on late-night!  Oh well...

Usually their AU titles relate to gaming or technology in some fashion. From the preview I saw Colorful just looks like a pointless panty shot title.

Anyway, they say "any press is good press". If it gets the more mainstream techie culture into fanservice, even if through this... well, I don't know if it would be a good thing. Not like they are showing anything much better on AU lately...I haven't seen much ROD the TV lately, and I only wish they'd start showing Lain/CotS/BoTS again... |

Someone on another messageboard explained this strangeness to me rather well, I think. G4 advertises itself as a network FOR gamers, not ABOUT gaming. Therefore, they have a vague umbrella for shows that really have zilch to do with gaming, like that horrible Whip Set block. So apparently, gamers like panties. |

Ugh...If they are going to show fanservice couldn't they at least show good fanservice? Something with a plot along with those panty-shots?

Ugh... They'd be better off show reruns of Banner of the Stars and Lain... I'll watch it but it's not going to be pretty, I expect this one to sit in my tivo for a while.
