So...it's like a remake? Kinda? Personally, I really liked the original series. I found it cool that every heroine got her own ending (even if 4 episode may have been a bit too short for my liking, but I can't complain).

From what I understand by reading that quote, I can either see it being a remake of sorts, or it'd be set in between like episode 3 and 4 of the original?

No, that was the tagline for the first season. It has nothing to do with what comes now.

Could be you never know but the series will still be as enjoyable as the first. If not it will sure suck.
