if it's as good as the original then this is awesome
I bet 20 cookies that LAMA will do a song in it. A few of their members were part of SUPERCAR

Interesting news. Hopefully they'll bring Dai Sato back instead of letting (presumed) director Tomoki Kyoda write the scripts himself, which did not work well for the movie.

Dai Sato FTW
it would be cool of this series is set in the distant future where the alien life form (i forget what its called) tries again to find a way of coexisting with humans (without it being dormant).

..too bad the chance of this being licensed and dubbed is slim to none. I heard the DVD sales of the first series did badly here. =/

Im pretty sure E7 had an anime legends release, which Bandai usually only does with shows that did decently well.

I am cautious here. The movie was absolutely terrible.
The main character of this looks like the protagonists' kid? If so, the plot must be handled with care to not induce continuous facepalms. We'll see, I guess.

The end of the original series did hint at a future limit of questions, as it was only delayed in the series, and not completely resolved. I wonder if this series actually builds on that.

I see they're continuing the tradition of using the most generic mech plot available. But then again so did the original Eureka Seven, and that show was great. Here's hoping.

Original series was good.
Movie was awful.
Let's hope this new series goes back to basics.

When isn't a mecha series "generic"? Joking aside, a lot of mecha series these days aim their plots as a homage to the classic series of old; that's how I view it. When you look at the Emperor/Charles/Wakamoto's speech in Code Geass, you can't think of anything but Gihren Zabi. A lot of it is like that.

Given what I've heard of the movie, which I have no plans to see, Not Sure If Want. I loved the hell out of the series, and I'd hate to see it have a crappy sequel.

Haven't seen the movie myself, but I know Theron gave it a positive review, and I usually agree with him at least a little bit, so I'm sure I'll see it eventually.
As for this series, I am hesitant. Nice thing about the movie is that it was an alternate universe thing, so even if it did suck, it wouldn't spoil the tv show. This is a direct sequel to the TV series, so it could mangle things pretty badly. Or not.
I assume the green haired kid is Ao? He doesn't look like either of the apparent children of Eureka/Renton revealed in the final DVD volume artwork, so I'm wondering if they decided to scrap those designs, if this is a third child, or if this series is set even farther ahead and the main character is a grandchild or other descendant.

When will you people learn that the movie was meant to be watched as its own movie and not an extension of the E7 universe you knew from the series?
