You obviously haven't heard anything he's composed since Gurren Lagann than... in short it has been very subpar and not up to his quality shown in Lagann, RK OVAs and other earlier works.

Hopefully he breaks his slump with this show, bit his last 4 works he has just mailed in it period

i actually haven't. i been meaning to watch ben-to and katangari but i haven't found the time too however i have seen C but i didn't know he composed the soundtrack and it wasnt nearly as good as gurrens or the kenshin ovas so hopfully it does improve with this show.

Kamisama no Memochou had a great soundtrack actually.
