I've looked on Anime Lyrics.com and even tried to search for Paranoia Agent Lyrics on Google, but turned up nothing. I was kind of curious how the lyrics of the song related (if at all) to the series.

Thanks.

I actually made a post myself asking for the romaji lyrics, but someone was nice enough to link me the translated lyrics only, so here they are:

"The lost children are a spectacular mushroom cloud in the sky

The lost children are comrades to the little birds that have infiltrated these lands

Touching the sun-kissed lawn with their hands

They are trying to speak with you

Dreams bloom atop benches in the apartment complex

Hold your fate inside your heart

Quell your depression

Stretch your legs out towards tomorrow

Don't worry about things like tidal waves

The lost children are a spectacular mushroom cloud in the sky

The lost children are comrades to the little birds that have infiltrated these lands

The lost children are dreams grown atop benches in the apartment complex

The lost children are comrades born on the day of the light that filters through the tree"

Thanks, so much. Except for the lines about

"Quell your depression, Stretch your legs out towards tomorrow, Don't worry about things like tidal waves"

I totally don't understand what the heck that song has to do with Paranoia Agent! Very Happy

Well, isn't that the case of most OP songs? It's pretty rare that I see lyrics to an OP song that are actually relevant to the anime it's for.

That translation is from a fansub, and it's wrong (they heard "maigo=lost children" when the singer vocalized some nonsense syllables). This guy has quite thoroughly worked out the romaji and translated it: http://www.sivan.nu/lost/read/yumenoshima.htm

Well, I can understand why they'd make that mistake - it's an easy one to make. Nonsense syllables and obscure colloquialisms are the bane of every translator.

My Lord, that song still gives me gooseflesh every time I hear it.

Me too... but not as much as the ED "Maromi" song, which sends me under the blankets every-friggin'-time.

Look, the dream will bloom on the lunch bench

*pulls out dictionary* Weird lyrics, weird series. I'll be all screwed up by the end of this one.

Maromi beats the Tachikomas as an odd character. I debated whether to resume watching after that first episode. If anyone just randomly stuffs a Maromi plush in my face, I'll go bonkers.
