I finally picked up the fourth volume this weekend from suncoast. from the back of the box I kind of anticipated what was going to happen, even in the little screen shots on the back. But after watching: Damn! this is the first show that sends shivers up my spine on a regular basis. The movie was kind of to fast paced to get really emotional but this series is awesome. All my presumptions were wrong and things played out differently than I expected. For those of you that have read the manga, has it followed it pretty well so far? This series is starting to become my all-time favorite, I can't wait for the 5th vol to come out. What to yall think of it so far?

The music in this series especially the main theme are extremely sturring.
I think I'll have to get the two osts now. Now if I can just find the sheet music to the piano version.

The X tv series has totally blown me away. I haven't read the manga yet but I intend to soon. I've been told that the tv series is closer to the manga than the movie is. I'd believe it just because of how much different the tv series is from the movie. I liked it a lot because you get a lot of background on everybody before they die (or do they?). sorry, don't want to spoil it...

I watched it and I was confused as hell. I think they should've included it on the last disc so it doesn't spoil anything.

I saw the movie before the series was released and thought it was good. The story, even though I hadn't read the manga, seemed pretty rushed. I learned afterwards it was a consolidation of the larger story. The thing I liked most was the quality of the animation--it's worth watching just for that.

When I heard the TV show was being released, I pre-ordered right away, and I've been hooked after the first disc. Not only is the story engaging, the quality of the show itself is much better than the average TV show. If you haven't seen it, try it out.
