I've been downloading the fansubs of Witch Hunter Robin. I was pretty sure I had them all, but I checked the AnimeSuki site to be sure, and found the links deactivated, marked "licensed".

Great news, right? I don't about you, but I certainly want this on DVD.

But I've searched through ANN and Anime on DVD and I can't find any news abot a license. AoD doesn't even have Witch Hunter Robin on their rumors list.

So who picked it up? Anyone know?

It was *just* announced at Anime Boston. (You have to look at the Anime Boston Coverage on AoD.) Bandai picked it up.

Yep, it was announced on Saturday at Anime Boston. Sadly, the hotel didn't have internet anywhere, nor was there enough clarity to get a wireless signal, so the news had to stay silent until Sunday.

Whee, Witch Hunter Robin!

I, for one, am just really happy that Pioneer snagged Haibane Renmei. Anime smile

They showed a shortened AMV that Bandai made for it at the closing ceremonies. Looked very nice.

Awesome awesome awesome. I can't wait to see what kind of special stuff they put it out with. Here's hoping for a cool box. Witch Hunter Robin was like *the* best show from last year.

I figured that was a given, since they had NieA_7, the previous anime by that creator.

Agreed. Bandai hinted that it would be released at "an apporpriate time of the year." I'm assuming that means October, with Halloween and witches and all.
