According to http://www.pioneeranimation.com/titles.php?series_id=29, the suggested retail price for the individual DVDs is $29.98 apiece. The boxset is priced at $199.98.

Of course... That's only the SUGGESTED price. What you actually pay will depend on where you shop.

Unfortunately though, the $40 subbed version that they sell is a bootleg, hence a bad thing to buy since it in no way supports the anime, the company that produced it, or the company that brought it here. All it supports are the people who illegally distrtibute it.

Remember, it might be cheap, but you really do get what you pay for when dealing with bootlegs. Especially concerning quality (in most cases anyway) I've only seen one good quality bootleg and that was of Nausicaa, didn't buy it, just watched it at a friend's place and even then it was rented. After he took it back we talked to the store manager and he took it off the shelves and sent it back to the company. He didn't realize it was a bootleg, the company he bought it from acted like it was legitimate.
