There are a few former Gainax peeps involved in this. All I hope now is for the story to be improved from the OVA.

The OVA had potential, much of it wasted. Here's hoping this quasi-Gainax'd crew can make something out of it.

I'm in the same boat. Mari Okada would've got me if Imaishi hadn't, though. Actually, looking at all the staff, they have really good resumes. I've gone from zero interest to very intrigued in a matter of seconds. |

They really should've revealed these names when they put on the first commercial. I don't know why they didn't; the show's premise (or what we deduced the premise to be) alone didn't give me or anyone I know much hope for this series...
