Of course, licensing issues all but guarantee that we'll never see it in the states. A shame...

Yeah, when I first saw the headline on the front page, I was hoping it would say something about a U.S. release, but of course it didn't.
A friend of mine has a few of the SRW games, and they look great. They've got the same seiyuu, character subtlties from whatever series they're from, and even play their own theme music when attacking, very cool series indeed. It's just a just a shame, though, that neither of us reads or speaks Japanese . And if this game ever does come out in The States, I also hope it has a Japanese audio option because there are a few of those shows' dubs I don't like . |

Yea, it'd awesome if it couls have made it to the States. Looks like I'll have to get it as an import instead.

With the way Harmony Gold acts with the copyrights to robotech, I don't think that there will ever be a release of that game here (Macross VFX-2 anyone?). I could be (and hope I am) wrong because the game looks awesome.
It would be rather neat to see a VF-01 and the Freedom try to take on Eva-01. I know they would lose, but, an interesting battle none the less. |

Well, first of all...
They finally brought Macross back to the SRW series! Yes! Yay! Other phrases expressing joy! Anyway, as a minor correction: The title robots from the given anime do not fight each other. Rather, they team up to fight their own respective enemies. i.e.: Super Robots Wars Alpha concluded with the Titans from Zeta Gundam invading NERV HQ ala The End of Evangelion. You used your dozen or so robots from a variety of anime to defeat them. |

I dont care if the game had the voice actors of Scooby Doo dubbing this, just being able to play and read the game in english would be a gift from the heavens! |

now if only the game had some secret mode to unlock the Eva's actual height
game settings of 40m is too small to have enough fun kicking stuff around. i want the full 130m.(btw, i do know there is no official height for the Eva, the 130m i got from doing my own calculations, and if you wanna check it over, go here) but its true about all the licensing issues, the best we may get is a fan translation |

Old school and New school. Sw33t!
It is unfortunate that this is never coming. Gosh darn it, it's a traveshamockery! You know, you would think that there would be a cross-over mecha fighter, considering the popularity of the SRT/SRW series. |

That's kind of unfair, though. I mean, spoiler[what can defeat the key to the apocalypse]?[/spoiler] |

Well, even though you cannot battle against the individual mechs, I still think it would be a lot of fun.
And, I am sure that there is an established height for the Evangelion units, but, in the animation process, there are inconsistancies, so, 40m is fine by me. And yes. Evas vs. Veritechs is VERY unfair. |

Yeah SRW has been around forever, and there's never been one released stateside. The closest thing we have to it is the GBA Zone Of The Enders game, but its not just the same. Its a great strategy game, but with so many robots, many of them almost unheard of stateside, there's probably not enough popularity for it to do well. I mean there aren't many people I know of who've heard of Daitarn 3 and Zambot 3 as an example. I've played a few of em, the one I played and liked the most was R for GBA, but its kind of annoying playing when you don't know how to read Japanese. I also played one of the Gundam Generations games which is just like it except nothing but Gundam. I'd like them to make a US exclusive one using series that have been released here (the Mazinkaiser would be sweet). But yeah its unfortunate. Oh and if you want real size robots, there's a SRW game called Scramble Commander where the robots aren't SD'd.

Where's RahXephon? The RahXephon is amazing, it can rewrite the world for god sake and yet no mention.

Hm.. well I saw RahXephon on the version my friend has, and the news release does say that the game is only 50% complete. Maybe they'll add it? Or, it could be another case of how when SNK makes fighting games, they always leave out Andy Bogard now . |

I LOVE SUPER ROBOT TAISEN games!
I own just about every single game for all the systems I wish these games could come out over here, or if Brandpresto could just put a english text in it like some import games do so it could at least translate the text for us but I'm hoping they will put in the new Gunbuster, GoDannar, Gravion, God Mazinger, Mechander Robo, and I want more SPT Laynzer in it but I think it would be cool if they included the Sentai Series into it even tho they are live action, but it would be cool to have their Robots in the series has well, cause if they are putting Sega's Virutal ON in it, why not put in Goemon's Impact giant robot in it too that would be sweet, then we could have Ichirou Mizuki's Impact theme in it hehe I love that song |
