To Anime Events Staff
I wanted to inform you about a great information resource I found out about before I became a staff member of the convention. The resource is called the Anime Convention Mailing list. The list has members of most of the lare anime conventions and festivals in North America. There's quite a few event orgainizers from the rest of the world as well subscribed. Members of the list share knowledge in how to run the best event possible. Here's some of the topics discussed on the ml: Sponsorships, hotel negotiation, crowd control, copyright, bootlegs, guest contracts, company contacts, programming ideas, etc... I'm just a member of the list(not the moderator), but I've found it extremely helpful in making my local convention Sakura-Con a success. Here's information on how to subscribe to the mailing list.
