Hmm, 50 eps, that's pretty ambitious, I can only assume BEI hopes to get it on TV in America. Now only if BAI can get us some action figures over here I'll really be into this series.

And if only Singapore got the same treatment.
Guess it'll just make it harder for me to find subs until they bring it over here or I become fantastically rich to be able to afford DVDs of something I've never watched.
50 eps thoguh! Wow. It's got a super-stellar team working on it, like they even have the dude who used to be at Ghibli, and the trailer speaks for itself... It better be better than FMA - at least Story wise. Dai Sato seems to have a good rep, but I'm worried that he did the script for the Casshern LA movie which utterly sucked.

Well, honestly speaking it *did* have some plotholes and seemed a bit contrived, but that's personal I guess. It definitely is a LOT better than most average storylines, and is actually pretty good for original stuff since they deviated from the manga, but it's not one of the best imho. I'm just hoping Eureka 7 can do better, that's all - but I'd be happy even if it has FMA quality story.

Eureka 7 better not suck. It's the only series that's been catching my eye out of the pages of Newtype, and there's something about a surfing mecha that smacks of "really ridiculous, but really cool." Like a FLCL that makes sense. Sure, the show's got some hackneyed genre elements, but they seem to be handling it in a really creative way. And with 50 eps it looks like BONES is going to try making this their "next FMA."
