I've just finished watching "Windaria" (I thought it excellent - rather slow to start but builds up to an impressive downer ending, and one of the few war movies I've watched that manages to succeed in making a statement against war).

However.

If I want to write a review for this movie and rate it, the rating and review for the movie are also given to an English reworking of the original movie called "Once Upon A Time". While I haven't seen the reworking of the movie, the opinion of both staff writers and forum users for this movie is that Carl Macek changes both the plot and order of the movie, and adds narration to try and make a rather dark movie lighter and more suitable for kids.

Is there any way to fix this on my end, or am I stuck giving a single rating and review to two rather different movies that just happen to share the same animation?

1. Go to MyAnime and find Once Upon a Time
2. Check the box and click on "Rate" at the top of the MyAnime page
3. "If you choose 'add' instead of 'edit', you can add a rating for a different version of that same anime."

I also updated the title picture of Windaria.
Looks like Italians know much more about art than Americans do.

I've done this, and now I have two ratings for the one movie entry. It's nowhere near an ideal solution - I would have preferred to give a rating to "Windaria" and a different rating to "Once Upon a Time" as a separate anime entry if I ever watch it - but I like this solution slightly better than having one rating for the two movies.

All I need to do now is get a hold of a DVD copy of "Once Upon a Time" and assign a proper rating to the edited English dub.

I'm afraid it's not possible, especially for one-off movies; only when the differences become way too big (as in Voltron / GoLion and Macross / Robotech) should a separate entry be established. On the other hand, I've added a comment in the entry to clarify a few things, as well as a link to Justin's Buried Treasure article.

I highly recommend passing on the edited version entirely.

Thanks for fixing that up - I just think it would be a pity if people missed the original Windaria movie just because people had watched the Macek edit and rated it poorly.

I couldn't hear about something as completely and utterly terrible as what was described for the dub and not at least try to watch it, even if it's only because I've never watched a Macek anime adaptation before.
