nothing. At least, that's what I understood. In the first episode it is described as being a disease that the main character has, but I believe this was totally made up as the nurse wasn't really reliable ^-^
but then again it was hard to 'get' FLCL

If i remember correctly, fooly cooly was Japanese slang for groping a woman or something like that.

No, it's not. It really doesn't mean anything. The OVA uses the term to describe various things, none of which make any sense.

You can watch the manga/dinner part of the first ep like 50 times and you'll have a head-ache. But you still won't know what it means.

Hmmm... I'm convinced that fooly cooly is two people, well, fooling around in some manner. That much seems obvious.
 As for "drooly drooly", though....

I think it means GAINAX produced the show on a mix of crack cocaine and crystal meth.

The other day I saw all of FLCL in one sitting. I don't know if that was wise, but I did it anyay.
The expression represented by the letters in the title mean many things, among them groping a woman's breasts. That's repeated a number of times, especially during the scrolling manga sequences. I forget the other things which the expression could mean, but a big deal was made about groping a woman's breasts. (No, I don't plan on seeing FLCL again. It's not my style.) |

If FLCL ever existed in manga form, the answer has to be in there. So much happens so rapidly in the FLCL anime it's hard to keep track of events. The answer was given, but it was hard to get it clearly. |
