Hyadain no Kakakata kataomoi-C, which is the first OP to Nichijou [My Ordinary Life]. Also listening to Split from Honey and Clover.

I'm currently enamored with this song myself. What I find particularly interesting about the song is the fact that the entire song is sung by only one person. I love how Hyadain electronically alters his voice to sing the female parts in the song.

Okay, so there's this video for a song a friend linked to on Facebook.

Not featured in an anime. It's a nice song, I have no japanese so I can just go by the sound... it's wistful, a, sweet, nice little acoustic guitar ballad. I guess it's called "Wonderland." The video is made up of people who live in Miyagi Prefecture. They're working, and posing on streets often still littered with debris from the Tsunami.

maybe unfortunately... it is also highly reminiscent of the OP of a notable anime...

If you watched that first video and are a spoiler[Satoshi Kon] fan, I think you know which one I'm talking about...

...I wonder if I should feel bad about making that connection.

and it has got me listening to that brilliant soundtrack again.

Also not featured in anime, but you might also like Shugo Tokumaru's music:

I saw him live in Adelaide on 9 September 2011.
