It's not like they just send a nice letter to a cable provider that says "You will carry our channel or else!".. they have to negotiate, and the provider has to be interested in carrying the channel. Although I wish it was simple like that. I mean, I'm in the hometown of ADV and all it's offshoots, but I don't have the linear channel, just the on demand one. |

This is really no surprise. I grew up in Hawaii, and even years ago anime was our bread and butter (and they didn't just run it on KIKU). There's probably still a large Japanese population, so the question is more along the lines of why it took Oceanic so long to get it.
