According to the translation off http://clamp-now.livejournal.com/ the translation IS in fact, "resume". Good good stuff!

I wonder how long they're planning it to be though? Short? xxxHOLiC length? I don't see how it can be any longer... Perhaps if this becomes a success they will finally go back to X... Here's hoping.

That is a translation of the French article. The original Japanese text actually says "「合法ドラッグ」新シリーズ始動!!" (launch of a new Legal Drug series!!), leaving it ambiguous if the Young Ace manga is a new series that continues the old series, or a relaunch.

After the lazy troll ending they slapped on xxxHOLiC, I think I'm done with CLAMP. They've disappointed me too many times.

It's getting rebooted instead of continued? Eh. Well, I guess that's better than it remaining abandoned forever. All CLAMP is working on right now is Gate 7, so they should have time to go back and finish their older titles. Now all they need to do is finish X/1999. It's been 9 years already since the last chapter. They finished their other long-runners Tsubasa and xxxHolic, so now it's time for them to finish X.

New series or continuing, I don't mind either because it's coming back!! I am just happy it is returning! One post mentioned an Omnibus edition, which could be a good idea. Even though I have the first 3 volumes (somewhere), I'd probably buy the Omnibus as well as the "new" series asuming they bring it back as new.

Several posts mentioned bringing back X/1999 which would be sooooo cool!!! I would LOVE to see that!!

I doubt very much that Clamp will EVER finish X. If I remember correctly, they lost some friends in the Kobe Quake and with the Sendai Quake this year...I'm just not going to hold my breath, even if I would like to see it finish.

I am looking forward to seeing Legal Drug go on. It's about time for that one too!

Woohoo! Yesss.
But I want Yen Press to take this one, rather than Dark Horse.
I feel Yen Press' style is better suited to shoujo manga.

Wonderful news! This series has interesting potential.

And I too wish they'd finish X/1999, although I like it as it is.

The thing about X is that CLAMP can't end long runners to save their lives. It's probably better off with a non-ending. Legal Drug will be okay since it's not plot-heavy like Tsubasa, xxxHolic, or even Gate 7.

Please pardon my excitement....
but it's about F***ing time they got back to this series!!!! Clamp promised that once Tsubasa & Xxxholic were over, they would finished Legal Drug. Reboot or not, I'm a happy camper! Very Happy

I sincerely hope that either Dark Horse or Del Rey (maybe Yen Press?) will pick up the manga!!!
