I watched this series recentlly

i also saw elfen lied. it's a good series, i hope they'll release an va eps or so because the ending is quit open

ah yes Elfen Lied aka Elfen Guro.
I like it I hope ADV keeps the 5.1 dolby track thats on the jp dvds. and doesnt change the style of menu's the r2 has some sweet animatied menus. but as to my thoughts on the show I shall point to a already done thread on it.http://animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9693&highlight=lied |

i'd swear this show's just benifiting off the blood, cause it really isn't very good. for the first few episodes it was pretty good, and then it just went completely downhill. the dialogue is boring, the characters are very unlikeable(Nyu is extremely annoying), and the whole structure of the show reminds me of a hentai game.

Best to just pass, unless you have low standards for that sort of stuff. |

I never thought that much of the nudity in Elfen Lied was of the fanservicy type. Actually, some of it is downright creepy, like spoiler[Nana's first scene].

Elfen Lied is like an ultra violent version of Chobits. Nyuu reminds me of Chi.

hold on a sec....I've seen this anime on this and other forums quite a bit, and it looks violent and weird.....but something to look into. Where are you supposed to purchase this though....is it avaliable in english dub? I cant find anywhere that seems to be selling it...anyways thanks

well i saw the series ,,elfen lied, i liked it but i prefer other anime instead of it. They just tried to make it better by showing us her tits or even violence and blood but anyways its not that bad

I believe a english-dubbed version of series is in the works to be distributed on Dvd within a few months. That is about the only information I can give on this site. Most of those who already have seen it, saw it before it was licensed. In general, I would forget about trying to find subbed versions of licensed anime, anyway. Two huge and rather famous web portals were shut down this week, one was a full-on bootleg and warez site (which I've never been to, but have certainly heard of), the other a site that distributed licensed subs and dvd rips (which I am ashamed to say I *have* been to). Additionally, a few weeks ago, a well known un-licensed anime links portal was sent a ceize-and-dessist letter by Media Factory Inc., telling them to remove a links to sites hosting bit-torrents of works created by Media Factory Inc. They sent similar letters to several fan-subbing groups. I can't tell you the name of this portal, since to do so would violate the extremily strict posting policy of these forums; however you could probably get more information by googling on "Media Factory Inc." if your curious. |
