Does anyone know:
- Why does Kurumi seem to have forgotten everything, but Saki and Karinka still remember things? - Are these three angels the same exact three angels from Season 1, just upgraded? (The "Mark II" designation seems to float all over both seasons) spoiler[Related to the above question, if that is true, then why do they not even remember that they met Nakahito and Kurumi and he were married (or at least deeply in love) at one point?] - spoiler[Being related to Nako and her mother, is the old "practicioner" from Episode 7 and onward really Nakahito (or perhaps his brother?)] These were just a few questions that I couldn't find answers to, and wondered if anyone else knew something (maybe from the original manga source, which I haven't read). Thanks.

Well let's start by just pretending that the second season doesn't exist. They really messed things up by trying to appeal to girls more and basically reusing and condensing Season 1's story. I only watched it once so I'm probably sketchy on it. Anyhow from what I can tell the main character (forgot her name) is a descendant of Nakahito (just an assumption that seems to be implied). Anyway somehow the Steel Angels were put back to sleep (my guess would be maybe Kurumi sort of 'died' inside when Nakahito died of natural causes so she ended up going back to sleep and resetting in a sense). Anyway since Kurumi is awakened by the kiss she only has a memory from that point onward. Kind of in the same fashion with Nakahito, she didn't remember who her creator was. Anyway the same explination could probably be said for the other 2. Since they went back to sleep the kiss kind of pulled a 'memory wipe' of sorts. Who knows. I've made a few assumptions but based on what I remember that's how I made sense of things and that appears to be what happened. Hope that helps. Disclaimer: By the way this is my own theory/opinion. It's not the official plot or explination. It's just what I think makes sense.

Thanks for the info.
Still, it doesn't answer the question as to why only Kurumi's memory is wiped? Saki still remembers that she has sisters when she's awakened, and Karinka remembers everything else when she's awakened by the practicioners. That also brings up the question as to why Karinka doesn't seem to have her gentle side (which she gained from her experiences in the end of Kurumi Season 1 and Kurumi Encore.) I wonder if I should post the question (in another form) in the Manga forum? |

Yeah like I said I'm sketchy on it. But Season 2 is a rushed rehash of Season 1. Personally I think we should pretend it doesn't exist so that Kurumi has a higher place in our minds as a fun series that wasn't brought down by such a discrace.
