I shall await the day she'll come back to the U.S, and hopefully I'll have enough money to go.

What? No English speaking Miku? What a big opportunity wasted. With any introduction, you don't get a second chance to make a good first impression. I mean yeah it looks like it was a success with introducing Vocaloids to at least the US, but to not have the English version ready was a complete failure on Crypton's part one that has created a steeper hill to climb to ever sell the concept in the US let alone the world. So now they will just remain as nothing more than a niche curiosity now seen and soon to be forgotten, except by the hardcore fan who existed anyway. Oh well I guess that's business in Japan.

Nah, this was far from an introduction of Vocaloids to the US since I'm certain every person in attendence had at least heard one Vocaloid song prior to this. This was an anime convention event after all. If they really wanted to introduce her to Americans as a whole they'd get her on the radio and on TV (the Toyota comercials don't count, I don't think they've been on TV yet), not a 3000 seat anime con concert.
As for not being in English, who goes to a Japanese concert to hear English? I think everyone there got exactly what they wanted and maybe more.

According to one facebook commentator who was there, Miku did say something in English, but whether that was the alleged promised new version, or just another try at Engrish, is not clear. Carlo didn't mention her speaking any English in his report.

I wonder what else was on the playlist, other than the four songs Carlo mentions. How long was the concert?
I wouldn't mind seeing a Miku concert, even just to experience it once. Sounds like the technology still has a wee way to go yet, though.

Ugh, I'd rather see a Rebecca Black concert than go see Miku at concert. That's how much I hate these vocaloids.

The more I see of Miku the more fascinated I become. I would like to see a concert, I think it would be very interesting.
The technology limitations won't last forever. I predict that we will see high quality full scale holographic projections, in the round, before very long. It's been accomplished on a small scale, now they need to figure out how scale up.

Then wouldn't it be better to avoid these articles like the plague?
Anyway, I envy those that were at the concert. Come to Philly, Miku!!!

One wonders why people feel a need to a) read articles about things they hate? and b) comment on them? If you don't like it, don't click! Its not like you were forced to read the article. Negativity is not a good way of life!

Indeed, but not just the presentation, but the actual music is improving as well. Between users becoming more familiar with her software and improved vocal banks like Append her vocals are really gaining some realism. I'd love to hear some of the older and more synthetic sounding songs like Black Rock Shooter get a redo.
