The best anime I have ever seen would have to be Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuioku Hen. This is because the graphics are crisp and clear, the music is beautiful. As well as the story is one that is emotional over whelming and brilliantly set up.

Many favourites but I really like Jin Roh. Very deep, you can always find new meanings for it and wonderfully made. Mamoru Oshii knows his bussiness.

What is Jin Roh? The title is kind of familiar but I haven't seen it. What is the story about?
btw, I also like Prince of Tennis, Naruto and Super Gals! |

Jin-Roh is a masterpiece, in my opinion. It's one of those philosophical miltary dramas and... well, if you don't like slow movies, then you won't like Jin-Roh. It's very depressing, but I found it quite poignant and very intersting, as it was the first real anime I've seen of this genre. |

Hey Tony K could you tell me a little more about Jin Roh? I would really appreciate it since I am all out of anime to watch. Just finish MSG Movies, Kenshin OVA, FMA, and Gundam Seed. It so sad knowing that there aren't anymore shows when your done. FMA espically I really wanted so much more after the show end, regardless of what you thought of the ending. I guess I will have to watch Zeta is that right order for UC timeline? I'm an AU boy, I know my roots the reason I am here is because GW and Zechs/Miliardo my favorite character of all time I think. Anyways thanks

Hmm. Well, I could try to tell you, but I don't want to ruin it. Instead, try reading this review by tempest. If you don't want to possibly spoil something, then I think the Encyclopedia entry is also good. I will say though, that it's a a psychological movie that's supposed to make you think a little. Not that the philosophical theme in question is necessarily difficult to think about, but I thought it was very cool since I'd never seen an anime title that did this prior to my viewing of the movie. It's a presentation heavy in political dialogue and is pretty slow (though I actually like it), and a after showing it to a friend of mine he said it "never really went anywhere." I can't really make any comparisons except for maybe Ghost in the Shell (the movie), since the storyboard and creation for Jin-Roh are also by Mamoru Oshii. So if you somewhat like the original GitS movie, you may like this, but don't expect a lot of action. |

That what I was looking for Tony in terms of a comparison, so thank you very much. I give you my kudos, I am looking forward to seeing it.

I'd have to say Wolf's Rain. I rewatched the whole series a couple of days ago. And it really is beautiful.

I'd probably say Rah Xephon, or Hellsing, both awesome animes with great storylines.
Its very hard to chose, like I also adore Berserk, Spiral and Tokyo Underground. |

I, for one, am slightly surprised that no user posting on this thread has mentioned Fruits Basket. I recently bought the first DVD, and I've already fallen in love with it. Talk about your feel-good anime! I think the music, humor, and dub are also well-done.
My other favorites are Full Metal Alchemist and Trigun. FMA is just... wow. Trigun is offbeat, deep, and has neat villains. Rurouni Kenshin TV is good, too. |
