But I thought Tokyo Babylon was being discontinued. Hmm, oh well. At least I don't have rush out and get it now!

So was it hacked up or anything, please don't ruin any plot points though.

Not hacked up, just poorly executed. The dub was horrible, but the sub was still good. Garsey's Wing is a good title, and definitely worth $10, as is They Were 11 (not great, but not worth overlooking for such a small price).

I like it quite a bit. When I first watched it, it took me a couple of minutes to get past the dated character designs, but the story's top-notch.

I strongly reccomend the They Were 11 manga, which is published in Four Shoujo Stories from Viz. I didn't like the anime as much, although plotwise it's pretty faithful. It just didn't capture the style of the manga. The manga's the product of such a distinctive and personal cartooning style, and the anime is so generic. Not awful, though, if I remember right.

Ooh, I'd wanted to get a copy of They Were 11, and it looks like it's a good thing I waited. Now, Viz, how long before we can get an English translation of the They Were 11 bunko? (My guess? Probably 20 years to never...)
