Never really got into Initial D because
1. Can't get into street racing.
2. The racing sequences remind me of old Playstation racing games with the cars being 3-D and the the people in the background being 2-D and flat.
Since everyone has different opinions, I'll just name a random title for you to check out.
Read or Die TV series.

Well since you have Endless Waltz, why not check out another Gundam movie/series?

I always thought Outlaw Star was funny yet gripping in a way. Not a "A" list show, but a good timefiller.

You might like Macross (a.k.a. Robotech in the U.S.) as well.

Is there any specific thing you are looking for? (romance, action, mecha, etc.?)
As for Golgo13's ROD the TV suggestion, yes it's an excellent series, however I would suggest watching the OVA before moving onto it. Many of the characters seen in the TV series are introduced there. While you could get by watching just the TV series, it's much better to watch the background story as well IMO.

you want something like initial d, you should look into sports anime or other formulaic stuff like initial d.
shows like kenshin, hajime no ippo, slam dunk, flame of recca... for parody kicks, check out yakitate japan =P
i dunno what else. it's a genre i'm not particularly fond of, although i do like initial d =P
