This might be a silly question, but aren't all anime high schools have nothing but cute girls? I haven't seen an ugly one yet.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw that premise, but it's by the creator of Cromartie High. There's has to be more to this than some moe show.

sburstall, Green Green at least had a girl who was supposed to be not-cute. Your response may vary.

Moe show...?
KILL IT WITH FIRE!!! KILLITKILLITKILLIT!
...
But seriously, how many series about "life in a high school full of cute girls" do we need? There are too many now.
EDIT: Oh wait, oh wait... "surreal, strange"...So this might not be so generic...

There's nothing wrong slice of life since this from anime Cromartie expected a good shows with Mechazawa or female version of sort.

Including the dreaded M-word makes me highly suspect, so I'll remain skeptical of this even though I love Cromartie.
Part of me hopes that this turns out to basically be a 13/24/whatever series in the same style of very last episode of Cromartie. What a great turnabout that would be. And technically true to the description of the premise.

I think the moe-haters are more fanatical than moe-fans themselves.
I happen to enjoy most moe shows, so I'll probably watch this. And it's like someone said, if its by the creator of Cromartie High School, there's more to it than just moe.

If it's supposed to parody moe shows the same way Cromartie parodied high school delinquent manga, then it should be pretty interesting.

Oh oh, if the creator of Cromartie High School has to resort to drawing moe manga, y'know something is wrong here...............!

As always the word moe is a red herring.
Double-J is about arts and crafts. And visually it is deliberately all over the place. In fact that's the part I'm not sure they'll get right in the transfer to animation, as line thickness and completeness is part of the visual humour. Some characters have very modern designs, others deliberately call to mind older art styles.

But I wonder why he outsourced the art... I'd think his usual style would be quite fitting.

I had to LOL @ the idea of the Cromartie creator tackling moe. I might actually wanna see this thing as a result. There's got to be something subversive about it.
