Just wondering if anyone has heard anything on the Garden of Sinners BD box replacement program. My cover is really starting to warp. I contacted [email protected] a week ago but recieved no response. Has anyone had any luck or heard anything at all? Thanks in advance.

Aw, f**k--sorry to hear that, man. That's gotta blow. Whenever I contact TRSI about something, they usually get back to me in less than a day, so I'm not sure what's up with that.
On, and just calling this: inb4JCpopsinhereandmakesaclevercommentabouthishateforthisrelease. |

I sent in my info right when the report was made that there was a problem, and I got a return e-mail form right stuf the following day that they knew there was a problem, and that they would be getting back in touch as soon as they heard from the manufacturer about the resolution to the problem and the replacement process. I got that email on Feb 11th and haven't heard anything since. I'm glad that they are planning on replacing it, but I would still feel more comfortable if there was some kind of acknowledgment in the interim such as, "we are sorry for the continued delay and as of yet we do not have a final solution in place, but we wanted to let you know we are still working on it and haven't forgotten about you." I understand things take time and I'm willing to wait, but it is not like it was some $45 set that this problem occurred with; it was a decently significant sized purchase. I guess all there is to do is to wait and see.

Meh not as random as the Unicorns of Chastity though...
The program exists. You're better off contacting AniplexUSA maybe? They're the ones who own the rights. I fixed mine by putting a bunch of my old college textbooks on it for a week. Worked like a charm and it's perfectly fine now. It wasn't really all that bad though. |

Hmmmm, I was thinking about that, but didn't really think it would work. Thanks! |

I hope it all works out for you. Hikaru Kondo wants you experience a "happy feeling" for shilling out on a $400 overpriced piece of crap with an apparently defected, screwed up box.
If that doesn't end well, you can always join me and ride along the rainbow road to CANDY MOUNTAIN! Plenty of happy feelings to be found there. |

TRSI is actually handling the exchanges for Aniplex USA. The wait pretty much has to be on Aniplex Japan side and/or perhaps the manufacturer side. Here is the PR from early February. |

It's worth a try at least before you go through the hassle of sending it back. I suppose it might also depend on how heavy the books you put on them are too. For instance the ones I used were a bunch of medical and mathematics textbooks; these are some thick heavy beasts. Probably the heavier the book the better. |

If some of you are still have damaged boxes, there is a replacement program. You must contact TRSI before Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 11:59 PM CDT to request a replacement.
Here are the details. |

A note here that you won't have to send anything back. Just make the report and we'll take care of it from there for you! |

Oh, that's great. I was holding back because sending stuff back is a pain in the ass. Thanks for the info!

Well they said they would start shipping them out the beginning of June, and here it is June first and my replacement box was at my door. I'm very impressed with how this was handled and how quickly it came, I really didn't expect it for another week or two. The box looks identical, so I guess they just had to go with a different manufacturer or have the manufacturer use a different grade of materials in the box to keep the problem from happening again. Anyone else get theirs today?
