I just got a new cable service and to my delight they happen to have TechTV. The next thing I did was go to the TechTV website to find out what time they aired anime. WTF? I couldn't make sense of anything from the website. Half the stuff appears to be dated for June ... and... September The other half of the stuff lacked any dates at all. Furthermore, the times seemd anything but consistant - 4 a.m., 9:30 p.m., midnight, etc. Do you need to be a programmer at Micro$oft or work for the IRS to figure this out?
Anyway, could someone explain this to me? I just want to know what time(s) to turn on my TV. |

Well, after a merger the station is now known as G4TechTV. Anyways the anime stuff appears on the channel at 12:00 midnight - 1:00 AM EST (Eastern Standard Time). THats how it is where I'm from, so I don't know if it'll be different for you.

What shows do they air? I don't have TechTV, so I don't know.
EDIT: Nevermind, I'll check their website. |

Well, do you have digital cable? If so, just check the listings with the guide. Otherwise, it should be listed in the TV listings in your newspaper.

Actually, I don't have digital cable, which explains why I wasn't expecting to get the station. I thought it was only on digital but I guess the channel has expanded.

TechTV's never really been very good at advertising their anime. Even less so when Comcast killed them and started playing with the defiled corpse (*cough* "G4TechTV"). I don't think they advertise it at all anymore. The website's a jumbled mess, so your best bet is the newsletter. The only problem there is that they'll usually only tell you something's on the day it starts airing or a few days afterwards.
Short of TV Guide or something like that, I'm afraid to say you're probably out of luck. |

I'd like to tell everyone to go to the Anime Unleashed forum at g4techtv.com for all their Anime Unleashed schedule needs. The most recent scheldule(as of September 22, 9:42 PM)is this:

Also, if you need any additional information about Anime Unleashed or just want a heads-up on what episodes are coming up, sign up for the AU newsletter.

I hope I get digital cable again because I want the Anime network. They really dont advertise Anime Unleashed which is a shame. The other problem is it airs randomly and really late. At least Cartoon Network has a concrete list about what they are showing on Adult Swim which makes it easy to know when you can watch something even though its late. Also G4techtv sucks(even though I watch it) because It has really no schedule and also reruns the same things over and over. YOu can only watch the history of mario or why doom 3 is so popular so many times. NOw if there was an anime channel besides AN that reran the same animes at the same times as long as they had some different titles that would be cool. Sorry for not adding commas and stuff in order to make this a little more readable.

Anime Unleashed doesn't air randomly... It airs series by series in a cycle. Since AU has acquired a couple of more series, it can take months to get around to a series or particular episodes that you have missed. That's why the dusty old VCR is your friend^_^ Too bad AU got bumped from its old time slot...I miss those 2 hour anime blocks on Friday nights! It was a great way to catch up on episodes but the ratings were not sufficient enough for it to keep its time slotT_T

Has there been any news of G4TechTV acquiring new series? I was just checking their schedule and R.O.D -The TV- is set to premiere on October 5th at 12:00 AM Eastern. This is the first I've heard of it!

AU is acquiring Read or Die? I never heard of this development... Well, it can be implied from one of the recent newletters that AU is working on getting new series although they remain nameless. Banner of the Stars II and the second half of Last Exile is a given but everyone is still pretty much in the dark as to what other series AU will pick up. I am hoping that AU will get Tehxnolyze... |

I don't think I really trust their online schedule, though. Back in June when they showed Last Exile again, episodes 14-16 were scheduled to air this time around but mysteriously disappered... Still a pleasant surprise to see they've got new stuff. |
