The point of this thread for me is that these titles below are pretty brand new and I have not heard a peep about them in the US. So Im very curious and concerned if the following titles will come out in the US. Im itching to buy em. I am just making a shopping list right now. Any information would be great. Unfortunatly, the titles below that are confirmed not making it to the US, I will be forced to buy the bootlegged version. I wanna know which ones before I buy the bootlegs. Im a collector and Im in Taiwan. So in some way, Id like to own the physical copy of an anime. Id perfer it be a US release, but if the title is confirmed not seeing the US market, a bootleg is a final solution.
Heres the list: The ones with * are the ones that Im more concerned about *Omamori Himari (As of right now, no one is picking this up. Although Im glad I have the bootleg, I would love to buy a US release since this is my all time fav title) Ichiban Ushiro No Daimaou Sora No Otoshimono 1 and 2 (When exactly?) *Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls (Heard nothing of this. Any thoughts? Dying to see it.) MM! (have not heard anything about this. Any thoughts?) *Toluvru 2 (When? Im dying to own this) Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai Fortune Arterial Akai Yakusoku *Asobi ni iku yo (Not heard anything about this? Is this going to see the US) Angel Beat! Ladies Vs Butlers *Mayoineko Overrn New Question: Regarding Demonbane. Im looking forward in acquireing this title. I am just wondering if it has come to the US. I've searched Ebay and all I've seen is 3 people selling the same packaging, 1 DVD Cover that looks like a bootleg. I would post an example, but Im not sure if its allowed. If you go to ebay and dype Demonbane DVD you will get it. I was just wondering if that was the US official release or if its a bootleg. Of course, still waiting on (Will add more): Sekirei Pure engagment Rosario+vampire 2 Shana 2 Dance of the Vampire Bund Ikkitousen last guardian and Xtreme Xecuter My shopping list for when I go to the states this May (Will add more): Kanokon IkkiTousen Dragon Destiny Akane Iro Ni Somaru Saka Kampfer DemonBane Queen's Blade (Im kinda hoping that someone would release a artbox boxset on both the 2 seasons. Anyone have any idea about? Will hold off on buying the complete series if there is a chance of an artbox set comming out). Karin Toloveru Needless (Ill give it a try) Koihime Muso Nyan Koi! I will re-edit this first post so I dont cough a big post count. I know some people are annoyed about that. People are happy to add onto this if they want. Basically, its just a status check on whether the new titles will see the US that has not been announced yet. Its more geared towards the less well known titles. The two bolded ones were picked up by section 23 for streaming so they will probably see a DVD release later this year and I thought Sora had been licenesed by FUni but again, no release date yet (so probably sometime later this year, fall perhaps?). |

Alternatively, check the pages for those titles here on ANN. They will have what company (if any) has licensed them, and give a date of its release in the "vintage"section.

I actually think that might be a title that Aniplex releases soon. They were involved in the production of it after all. And I wouldn't mind buying it for the right price, I was shocked to realize that I actually enjoyed it, usually I don't go for shows like that. If it has a nice release and is priced right then it would probably end up on my "buy" list. |

Its on my buy list regardless. Its huge here in Taiwan and with all the promotion about it, I've been putting off buying the bootleg version for some time in an attempt to wait out the storm.
Im very looking forward to the R1 Release. |

If you're in Taiwan, why don't you buy the f*cking Taiwan versions of these shows?
Omamari Himari: http://dvd.jsdvd.com/product_info.php?products_id=25122 Angel Beats volume 1 ; 2 ; 3 That's only half of it, but the rest will be released within the next several months. There are even nice art boxes that comes with these. Ladies versus Butlers: http://dvd.jsdvd.com/product_info.php?products_id=24489 Neko Overrun: http://dvd.jsdvd.com/product_info.php?products_id=25432 Xtreme Xecutor: http://dvd.jsdvd.com/product_info.php?products_id=25431 Queen's Blade: There isn't going to be an art box boxset (or even a combined box set knowing MB), but here are your art boxes: 1 ; 2 ; 3 Motto To Love Ru: Top-Insight International Co., Ltd. released the first season, so they could release the second, just like Section 23.
These have planned DVD releases, so be patient
These might have DVD releases
When Funimation puts them out |

@The King of Harts: They are either all in Chinese or all in Japanese. My chinese isn't good enough and I cant read it and I dont understand Japanese. I've already asked around at the Tibe book/anime fair 3 weeks ago. They rarely add english subs to their titles. Everything you mentioned there is in Japanese with only Chinese subs.
I wouldn't be posting here if I could buy titles in Taiwan or even bother with R1 imports, believe me. Personally, Anime is cheaper in Taiwan and they still stick with the artboxsets which I love which the US is abandoning. Also, they release faster. |

Why don't you do what a majority of importers do and buy the import and then download the fansubs. Now you have a physical copy and a copy you understand. Problem solved. The end.

Simple: he can't read Chinese; those who can don't come here. I have MANY friends who are anime fans but NONE of them visits ANN regularly. Being occupied by anime, the average English language proficiency of Taiwanese anime fans is way below that of the general public. I even know people who read katakana faster than English; note we don't have Japanese language course until high school, and it only serves as an OPTIONAL secondary foreign language, while urban public schools start teaching English as early as 4th grade.
IIRC it has been licensed by Mighty, announced at TIBE 2011. |

I've already responded RE Omamori Himari on the FUNi forums but might as well do it here also. It was slated for removal from Crunchyroll by Kadokawa but never actually was. My assumption is that they were unable to interest anyone in the DVD rights.
Likewise Demonbane: it is one of the back-catalogue titles added to CR by Kadokawa from which I assume, given it is a few years old now, that they have never been able to sell the DVD rights. RE: Michiko to Hatchin, the only time I've seen any hints about licensing was when Gong was splashing the artwork around, but they are streaming-only in English and nothing ever seems to have come of it. |
