Hahahahaha. For some reason, from just reading the header I thought this was announcing the license acquisition of Katekyo Hitman Reborn!... which then made me almost die laughing since it said, "Katekyo Boys-Love Manga."
I know, I know. KHR's manga has been licensed for a good while in the states. I was aware of this, and yet, it seems for the sake of funny, my brain chose to forget that fact for a minute or two. But seriously, this is great news. Always fun to see new BL titles get some love. |

Wow, I really like the art style! They actually look like men haha. I may have to check this one out.

I as a gay man can tell right off the bat that this is more unrealistic masturbation material. Completely unbalanced in terms of relationship dynamic and, oh hey, there seems to be ramification-free attempted rape! That is SO the way into a young man's heart! UGH.
What have us gay men ever done to you straight women that you want to keep treating us like toys? If you all want to sexually objectify men, do it to the straight ones! Your beef is with them. |

Funny because I know several people who would disagree with your moralizing of clearly fictional work. And artists and author like Oliver Frey would disagree as well. He thinks yaoi is "cute", and ironically his works are a lot more hardcore. As a gay man, he also knows what his audience wants:

I second your sentiments. The fact that KHR fandom is joked about as consisting mostly of yaoi fangirls really doesn't help. |

Because we really ought to be holding our creators of admittedly delicious mansmut to the same standards of those who pitch their stuff as serious romance. Yaoi paddles exist because of this unambitious crap flooding the manga market. It'd just be nice to see a new manga author from Japan give Yoshinaga (who's surprisingly great) a little competition. Maybe if those bara/men's love guys would finally learn how to write more than 20 pages at a time... |

I'll admit, I'm sold on the cover alone. The art looks kind of familiar, but since this is her first U.S. licensed work I wonder if I've read some of her stuff in scans at some point... Either way, on my Wishlist it goes.
