Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind delayed until 2010?

I've been doing some searching on Google and found several sites that said that Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind wasn't to be released until 2010. Now I don't think this is true because all of these sites had the same review under them, they all had links to amazon.com, they all claimed that Nausicaa came out in 1986 even though it was actually released in Japan in 1984, and they all had links to amazon releases such as My Neighbor Totoro, GITS:SAC vol. 1 special edition, and Star Wars DVD set. Does anyone know anything about this because I know the DVD's got delayed (otherwise I'd be watching them right now.)

That's just a date websites put in when they don't know the actual date.

Many websites get their information from Amazon, and in this case Amazon listed it as 2010 because there is no firm release date for the DVD yet.

It was scheduled to be released this fall, but then was delayed. It might come out later this winter, or in 2005. It won't be 2010; that's just a placeholder date.

Some places use the year 3000. ;)

The important point is that the date is "so far in the future it can't be right".
