*splutters from the awesomeness she just read* Japan only release? WHY!? Anime cry

I would get this game if I could read Japanese. But, alas, I can not.

Damn you, Japan. Why do you tease us with your epic crossover games that will never have an English release?

Actually it's been stated that Z2 is going to be in 2 parts (the first time that's happened in an SRW game since Compact 2). The first part (world Breaking) is what was announced. If you check the scans it flat out stats that Gundam 00 is only season 1, and apparently Gurren Lagann, and Code Geass are the first half as well, which makes sense as there's a time skip (7 years for Gurren Lagann, 1 year for Code Geass, 4 for Gundam 00) in all three series.

It also appears that out the games found in, your only going to get the main characters. I wonder where they draw the line with that like if Mu is included or if it's just Shinn, Kira and Athrun.

I've never played any of the Super Robot games but if Votoms, ie, Cuvie, is in it I have to reconsider that stance. Smile

you can always play it even if you don't know japanese, you will find the story translation in gamefaqs.com, and you can try the english version of a previous game to get used to it

I am glad that they added many first time appearance titles, sadly they kicked Grendizer out..

Z is using the Wing TV series for the first time in years, so no Tallgeese this time.

Anyway this line-up is, by far, the best line-up a SRW game has had in years, if not ever. I am really looking forward to this game when it comes out.

Copyrights. Different people in the US hold the copyrights to the titles included. Same reason we didn't get Namco x Capcom.

I posted in the Community games forum about this, and was secretly hoping for it to be true. And now I am extremely happy that this has been ANN confirmed, since some of the series choices had long been considered "untouchable" for an SRW. (Namely Gurren Lagann since it is owned by Konami, and Geass for a myriad of reasons. Don't even get me started on VOTOMS.)

Well, since I own all the DS and GBA SRW games (god bless you Nintendo DS for being region free) I guess I have to buy a PSP now (its region free too). At least I can finally play Advance Portable and MX Portable. And Giga Drill Break Dr. Hell in the face.

And while it isn't mentioned here, supposedly the Alpha series is going to be put on Japanese Playstation Network. I know it will be next to impossible to hope we get it here, but I still hold out hope. We got Cho Aniki for chrissakes, show us mecha fans some love people!

Depending on how much they focus on the TV side of Wing, we may get the Mark 1 or Mark 2 Tallgese mechs.

So we heard you like interventions?

We can't really state this is true until the game comes out or we get a PV. (Which should be on the 14th) as other Hand Helds, namely A Portable and MX Portable, gave you supporting characters. Anime hyper
Also; If SD Gundam G Generation World can smash you that many units from 50 + series....You would think SRT could do it.

On Subject: DOUBLE DANCOUGARS!!!!! (Double Dancouken/ Dancou Formation/ Double Dancougaken?) or maybe an Obari Special? (Dancougar/ NOVA/ Gravion)

Forbidden Territory with G7 and Dai Guard. Excited about WING TV for once. 00 and WING co-op? I can totally see working. False Diva's probably in just for the Tornado Pack, same thing with the Gurren movie. Can't wait to see how they handle the Geass. (Will-triggered boost like Pschyo-Frame/ SEED Mode?) Also....Getter Robo Armageddon aka Bat crazy Ryouma and Black Getter < 3

Super Robot Wars Alpha 3, granted the biggest game in SRW history, had 153 individual seishin-able characters. SRW W had 118 playable units. While some shows in 2nd Z are going to be B or C class represented, they will still field a decent number of units. (Gurren Lagann will likely be the sole representative of its show, Zeta Gundam will probably have 4 or 5 units.)

And for people apprehensive about playing SRW in Japanese, menus and control schemes haven't changed at all since it began 20 years ago. Understanding the plot would be one big hurdle, but the plot is only half the fun. Cutting giant robots in half with giant swords and flinging energy spheres at everything in range is the other half of the fun.

Man, I'm really need to get around to rewatching Dai-Guard. I'd propably appreciate it a lot more this time around.

I'm normally only interested in the Original Generation brand of SRW madness, but I'm seriously considering getting this. I just hope they remembered to compensate for the fact that cramming so much awesomeness into a PSP might cause it to spontaneously combust.

Also: Big Bang Punch VS Giga Drill Breaaaakeerrr! Make it happen, Namdai!

What do you mean by "forbidden territory"? It's not like this is Trider's first appearance in SRW, as it debuted back on the PS1 in Shin SRW and was also used in SRW GC /XO(granted, it seemed to have little to not story importance in GC/XO). If anything, having Trider G7 and Daitarn should be really interesting, as both have javelin attacks that are usually their second-strongest attacks and have absolutely no cost to use them, making them very abuseable.
