Lonely little thread
No one is posting in you
Now I have fixed that

But seriously, an ANN review that no one wrote a hearty approval of or an angry protests against? Is the world ending? Or did nobody watch this series?

Or maybe the show is just that generic and underwhelming? No need to post if you have nothing to add to it.

I bought this show when it came out and watched it through. It is not the sort of show that will set people's passions ablaze but I found to be very good entertainment. Which is what I bought it for.

I didn't set out to defend the show because it doesn't bother me that someone else has a different opinion. I have never quite understood all the hate and discontent about what amounts to a matter of taste.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I am watching this on YouTube as Nozomient (Right Stuf's distribution wing) releases it. I have found it to be quite entertaining. I love the variety of magical systems it uses and the obvious care that went into the research by the original author of the light novel series. I also find that, when the main complaint about a series is the level of cliches it uses, I don't find that nearly as offensive as the majority of hard core anime fans, since I have only been watching anime and reading manga/light novels for about two years now, I haven't seen all of the shows that used the cliches before, so they are not that old to me...

I have seen several harem shows that use the standard harem tropes, but frankly, I don't know what reviewers expect to find in a harem comedy other than well worn harem cliches? Part of what makes it funny seeing how the author will incorporate the story elements that the view/reader expects to see in a novel environment. This show provides a nice environment for the familiar with enough novelty in the magical systems to make it interesting, at least to the less jaded in the audience...

...except now people are actually leaving their opinions, and I like getting viewer second-opinions. Also, I like writing haikus.
