It's not a sequel, it's a milking. Still looks good though.

Wow, that was... kind of weird.
Still looking forward to it!

So... not a live action as the rumors suggested.
And WTF is that?
Looks like a filler.
The Animation looks weird, and the director is not the same one from the series. Why is that? Weird.

Why do I have a vague feeling that the reason that so much of the staff changed (new director, new writer, new character designs, animation director) is because they refused to make another movie?
Their where some interesting ideas, but frankly I don't see the point. The gliding people thing might be able to get pulled off with a fitting explanation.

A filler... to a series that's already completed? Yeah...

Maybe Bones just wanted to mix things up by going with some new people?
Romi Paku and Rie Kugimiya are returning, at least!
If only somebody could whisper the magic words, "Based on an original story by Hiromu Arakawa"

It's a waste of movie budget but that won't matter since everyone will still go see it over there.
And by the way that is one of the single worst tagline's I've ever heard. Makes it sound kinda immature and soap opera-like.

Worse than that. Considering the kind of "bonds" usually stressed in FMA, it sounds downright incestuous!

LoL I hadn't thought of it like that.
I kinda admire and laugh at Bones at the same time... It's really awesome that they are giving "new" talent a shot at such a beloved franchise but at the same time It's hilarious to think that they probably gave 'em a filler bone to chew on while the other veterans in the staff rejoiced with the full meal on the first two series and first movie.

I want a film about the Ishbal War. FMA war drama, completely scripted by Hiromu Arakawa.
They do say that dreaming costs nothing....

I would have liked an extended movie based on the extra epilogue chapter. >.>

I'm actually glad it's filler. I'd rather see something new than a retelling.

Well at least my fears of it being a retelling can be put to rest now.
I'm sure Funimation will license this and maybe we can see it by late 2011 or early 2012.

The flying villains kinda look out of place IMO, they look like Bleach or Naruto filler villain fodder.
Btw does anyone know where I can get the image they are using on the movie's site? It looks sweet for a wallpaper.

You can still have filler after the series have been completed. Especially if it doesn't add anything to the story or a "side adventure" with no consequences.
Nevertheless, I still look forward to hearing how the movie goes.
