So maybe this means they'll start dubbing some of there others stuff, even if its already been announced as sub-only? I'd love to see a Kampfer dub.

Ah, the Clannad film.... My favorite incarnation...
I'm even doubly happy they'll dub it! Similarly, I enjoyed the Air movie quite a bit, since it was more of a spoiler["what if?" alternate scenario], then just some regular compilation. I'm a bit surprised that it's taking Sentai that long to release After Story dubbed... You'd think they'd want to earn some extra money during the holiday season. All in all, interesting news! |

Thanks you, I've been holding off on watching Clannad until I knew they will dub the second season. How I can start.

I've tried watching the Clannad movie on multiple occasions and could never get through it. I thought at first it was just because I loved the anime and VN versions so much that it was too different, but even trying to watch it objectively it just felt like a terrible movie. Nagisa says all her dramatic lines with a giant smile and it's kinda creepy. Characters come spilling their life stories out of nowhere since there's no time for character development. It was also difficult (for me at least) to tell when the movie transitioned from high school to further in the future, and it was seriously confusing at times. I really love Clannad and would like the movie for my collection, but I wonder if I'd even be able to sit through it...
About time on the After Story dub though! I was beginning to fear they weren't going to bother.

I just hope they don't release it in a ugly fat pack DVD case like they did with the first season. I want a nice collectors artbox like ADV's Air and Kanon dubs.

You realize that the Clannad movie and Clannad t.v. anime are completely different anime and are not at all related right? Not that it matters because by the time After Story is released dubbed the Clannad movie dub will be out already. In conclusion, there is no reason in watching the Clannad movie along with the Clannad t.v. anime. Or in my opinion don't ever watch the Clannad movie at all since it isn't that good. |
