New Overfiend Series coming out in Japan

"The Urotsuki", a new 3 part OVA series in the Urotsukidoji (Legend of the Overfiend) universe will be released on DVD in Japan shortly. The first of three DVDs will be released on May 3rd, and will optionally come with a box to hold all three DVDs.
Back at AX '01, ADV announced that they had acquired and were partially funding the development of a new Urotsukidoji (Legend of the Overfiend) OVA series. Since then details about this new series have been spare, but it now seems that "The Urotsuki" may be the series that ADV was referring to.

"The Urotsuki", will return the story to the school setting of the original series. Every few thousand years, the realms of humans, demons and man-beasts are united by the Chojin. On the day before he is scheduled to be executed in the man-beast realm, Amano Jyaku is sent to the demon realm to investigate the truth of the legend of the Chojin. While Amano's spending a pleasurable time with the queen of the demon realm, an accident causes the demon and human realms to converge. Amano takes responsibility to travel to the human realm to destroy the demons who have escaped and to search for the Chojin. 300 years pass without any sign of the Chojin.
It has been suggested that "The Urotsuki" is a re-make of the original series as opposed to to sequel or prequel.
