Hikaru Utada's First Taipei Concert After-Movie Now Available on YouTube

Hikaru Utada is currently on their "HIKARU UTADA SCIENCE FICTION TOUR 2024," which marks their first such jaunt since 2018. The tour, featuring shows in Fukuoka, Aichi, Saitama, Miyagi and Tokyo thus far, included their very first Taipei concert, held over two days on August 10 and 11. The show drew an audience of around 20,000 fans.

The excitement began even before Utada's first concerts in Taipei, with ad trucks roaming the streets, flags displayed throughout the city, and posters in subway stations all welcoming the J-pop star's arrival.

Following the performances, the first official video content of the tour — featuring interviews with fans who gathered in Taipei, scenes around the venue before the concert began, and snippets of the live show itself — has been released on YouTube.

In the video, one fan interviewed expressed their excitement, saying, "I'm really happy I got tickets this time. I'm so thrilled, and it feels amazing to see Utada in person. Thank you so much for coming to Taiwan and giving Taiwanese fans the best day ever!" The footage captures the vibrant atmosphere that lingered at the venue.
