Naoki Urasawa, Akasaka Aka, Kamome Shirahama, BURNOUT SYNDROMES and more to attend 30th MANGA BARCELONA, tickets now on sale!

Tickets are now on sale for 30th Manga Barcelona, happening from 5th to 8th December at Fira Barcelona Gran Via. The festival has the pleasure of announcing that the poster's author for the 30th edition of Manga Barcelona is one of the most acclaimed mangakas of recent decades: Naoki Urasawa. The author of MONSTER, 20th Century Boys, Pluto and also YAWARA! will not only attend Barcelona and be the guest of honour, but he will also be in charge of creating the poster for this new edition, which will be presented in September.

But this is not the only surprise in the guests area, for such a special year, it was important to bring the public of Manga Barcelona closer to the authors, and together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan as well as the Japanese publishers, Manga Barcelona presents Manga Festival, an initiative that brings together up to 8 manga authors who will visit the Catalan capital: Kamome Shirahama (Atelier of Witch Hat), Yuka Fujikawa (Mushoku Tensei), Aka Akasaka (【Oshi No Ko】), Mengo Yokoyari (【Oshi No Ko】), Shinichi Ishizuka (Blue Giant), NUMBER 8 (Blue Giant), Juan Albarrán (Matagi Gunner) and Agasawa Kocha (You and I Are Polar Opposites). Its presence will be accompanied by an exhibition of shikishi by the authors, the typical sheets used in Japan to sign autographs.

As for the guests related to Japanese animation, Manga will host Hiroshi Nagahama, who will present its most recent work: the adaptation of Junji Ito's Uzumaki anime, which will start airing on September 28th at Adult Swim and Max. Sunghoo Park, director of Jujutsu Kaisen first season and Jujutsu Kaisen 0, will also be present along with Yann Le Gall, art director at E&H production, the studio responsible for One Piece's one-shot Monsters: 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation, also directed by Park.

Maki Otsuki, the voice behind the iconic One Piece songs "memories" and "RUN! RUN! RUN!", will perform on Thursday, December 5th, and Sunday, December 8th. Otsuki, who also sang "Destiny" from the One Piece special Heart of Gold, recently made a grand return to Eiichiro Oda's series with the new ending theme, "Dear Sunrise," which will be performed live in Barcelona.

Also performing on December 5th and 8th is Coda, a versatile artist and a familiar name in the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure discography. With hits like "BLOODY STREAM", "Fighting Gold" and "Goodbye Nostalgia", Coda has amassed tens of millions of streams, solidifying his reputation. His latest venture includes a jazz album under the name Coda Piano Trio.

The highlight for live music fans will be on Friday, December 6th, and Saturday, December 7th, with performances by BURNOUT SYNDROMES, one of Japan's hottest groups with a growing global fanbase. Known for their rock anthems, BURNOUT SYNDROMES, frequently featured in Haikyu!! openings, will perform two concerts in Barcelona. Fans can look forward to singing along to "FLY HIGH!!", the hit song from the second season of Haikyu!!, which boasts over 100 million Spotify streams.

Other notable tracks by BURNOUT SYNDROMES include "Hikariare" and "PHOENIX", the opening themes for Haikyu!!'s third and fourth seasons, respectively. These tracks follow closely behind "FLY HIGH!!" in popularity, cementing the group's success. They are also known for the Gintama ending theme "Hana Ichi Monme" and the Dr. Stone opening "Good Morning World!".

MANGA BARCELONA continues its dedication to Japanese music, building on past performances by notable artists such as Yoko Takahashi, AKB48, Vicke Blanka, Centimillimental, Ayumi Miyazaki, Yoko Ishida, Nana Kitade, and Anly, among others. As always, concert access is included with event admission.
